Something as simple as a worn out caster bearing can have a big impact on the performance of a wheelchair. Flutter, tracking issues, squeaking, and wobble are a few of the common symptoms caused by old and corroded bearings. It's always a good idea to keep the bearing clean of hair, dirt, and debris. Plus, be proactive with your chair maintenance and occasionally change out your aging wheel and stem bearings. Its a good cost effective way to preserve the integrity of your wheelchair. It's easy to do, it's important, and you'll thank yourself when your chair is rolling smoothly.

W/C Caster Bearings
My old dinosaur E & J manual needed new caster wheels which I ordered from another firm. While there was no issue with the other firm, the wheel assembly came with absolute junk bearings that gave up the ghost after two weeks and the same thing after receiveing replacement bearings. I started looking for the original bearing type and found them on-line at DME Hub. Making a phone call, i was connected with Tyler Wright. I had previousl worked with Tyler at another firm when obtaining replacement parts and it is like talking with your personal physician or dentist. He thouroughly understands your needs and functions like a consultant rather than an order taker. Totally satisfied and my chair rolls as it should.
