OEM replacement part, but ...
This ships from TiLite and is the same part as supplied on the wheelchair. It is a good design and really locks the wheels when on. So, you will get exactly what is on the wheelchair. Of course, if you are needing a replacement, you are probably aware of two durability issues. The wire coil spring that holds the lock in the open (unlocked) position is flimsy and rust-prone. Mine broke after four years. The pivot pins are soft rivets and eventually loosen to over time to allow enough play in the linkage that the lock pops open from the on position.

It goes without saying that whom ever I speak with when I call, (Tyler/Dave) my order is always executed perfectly. The only thing that disappointed a small amount with most recent brake purchase was that no one mentioned to me that if I had waited a few days I could save 10% on my order. Wheel locks and service
When something breaks on your wheelchair, you need fast, good, efficient service. You need original parts which it so happens these guys have. You need a friendly person to help you out with finding it and advice to put it on. The parts they have are as good as it gets. The service is fast and advice it top notch. If I call my "local" dealer to fix my chair, it can take a month to fight your way through a broken immoral system of insurance, paper work, scheduling, deliveries and work. If I break a part as critical as a brake, I need it very soon. I am lucky that I can fix these chairs myself and with the help of the great people at DME hub I am back in my chair in no time. Replacement scissor brakes for TiLite
I am 18 years post injury and probably on my sixth or so wheelchair. Anyone who’s been in a chair any length of time knows parts were out. I found the people at dmehub very helpful, very knowledgeable. I didn’t ask but I suspect the guy I was talking to was in a chair. He knew exactly what I needed and suggested some helpful techniques for the installation. They are very thorough and checked my serial number to make sure I was getting the correct parts for my chair. I have every confidence in their ability. If you need it they’ll either have it or they’ll get it for you. Suppliers like this are rare.
